TONI CURRICULUM CASSANY Girona, 1962 Cassany Toni begins to paint professionally in 1998. From a very young man had learned the trade from the hands of great masters. At the school where he studied public good: Perpignan, Fita, Julià Cutillas, Vila. Small part in drawing and painting competitions wherever he went and won often. However, not decided by the profession and within studied Spanish Philology at the Universities of Granada and Santiago de Compostela. His knowledge of the art of words always helped in understanding the art of color and shapes. After completing these studies he returned to visual art. In the hands of the painter Maria Rosa Ferrer Girona, Toni Cassany retook brushes. After an initial year of intensive work (1989) reach the first solo exhibition (January 1990). It was the best of what had occurred: watercolor, china ink drawings and oil paintings in the hall of the plaza Caixa Girona Poeta Marquina. The paintings attracted much public attention which made decant Toni to that technique, though he has never abandoned the others. This exhibition was attended by the painter Lluís Roura. The teacher Empordà i congratulated him encouraged him to paint every day, relentlessly. When he called to thank Toni, Roura invited him Vilabertran study. This encounter changed the artistic life of Toni because that evening was the best lesson of painting could never ask. "They were the minutes better spent my entire career" in the words of the artist. Never again forget that lesson as important as simple i simultaneously. Years later, during the opening of its twentieth exposure (The Cloister Gallery in February 2004), Toni had a few words in memory of that lesson and declared himself a disciple of Empordà. Since that first exhibition of January 1990 all followed each other continuously: The room Pedreguet Girona Art and Art d& 39;Amer (1990), with whom ESTABLISHED deep partnerships that gave much strength in those initial moments, Palamós Art i Art d& 39;Aro (1991), the gallery The Cloister, the city of Girona opened the door despite his youth and with so much future ahead (1992). This drive was final because exposing them individually in a best galleries in Spain meant a qualitative leap for the artist. Being recognized in your environment clearly i rotunda opened the doors of the galleries outside Girona. Well exhibited in Barcelona (Galeria Mayte Muñoz) and Madrid (Colmenar Viejo, Fiaschi Gallery Granados) during the years 1993 and 1994. Then came years of consolidation in the office. Years he also performed new facets of art that enriched him as an artist: graphic design, book illustration and various publications. The result of this facet have been two books illustrated with his work: Pobles the Baix Empordà (1998) and Retalls of Premsa per the capvespre (2006) stated in 1995 in France (Lavaur, gallery Pedreguet). His last exhibitions were in Madrid (Gallery Zúccaro, 2002 and 2003) There has never stopped expose. Currently has to his credit more than twenty solo exhibitions and nameless collective. His work is distributed in private collections throughout Spain and in several countries of Europe and America. In 2006, just published a book with pictures of him: retalls of Premsa per the capvespre. In the years 2007 and 2008 success relaizar two exhibitions in the Gallery The Cloister of Girona and the Chamber Rusiñol Sant Cugat del Vallès-Barcelona. The latter can be visited in full on the website of the gallery. In 2010 he was elected by the Gallery for the exhibition The Cloister on the occasion of pattern city.
